For years, one of the biggest challenges in Ghana’s logistics industry has not necessarily been the absence of trucks, vans or drivers.

The bigger problem has been access.

A customer in Accra may urgently need a truck to move furniture, while a suitable driver only a few kilometres away may have no job for that day.

A construction company may need tipper trucks to move materials to a project site but spend hours calling different vehicle owners.

A retailer may need to move stock from Tema to Accra or Kumasi but have no organised system for comparing available transport options.

At the same time, thousands of commercial vehicle owners across Ghana are looking for consistent work.

This disconnect between people who need transportation and people who have transportation capacity represents one of the opportunities digital logistics platforms can address.

One Ghanaian platform attempting to solve this problem is CargoMov.

CargoMov is a digital logistics marketplace designed to connect customers, businesses and cargo owners with verified drivers and suitable commercial vehicles across Ghana.

Rather than relying only on phone calls, WhatsApp groups and personal recommendations, the platform gives customers a more structured way to request transportation, compare driver offers and manage deliveries.

CargoMov describes its model as connecting cargo demand with transport supply through job posting, driver bidding, vehicle matching and delivery visibility.

What Is CargoMov?

CargoMov Ghana is a logistics technology platform powered by Relocation Masters Ltd, a Ghanaian company with practical experience in relocation, cargo handling and logistics.

The idea behind the platform is straightforward.

A person who needs goods transported posts the job.

Suitable verified drivers review the request.

Drivers submit offers.

The customer compares those offers and chooses the option that fits the job.

The delivery can then move through a more structured digital process.

This creates a marketplace rather than a traditional system where the customer has access to only one driver and one price.

How CargoMov Works

The process begins with the cargo.

A customer can describe what needs to be moved, enter the pickup and delivery locations, provide information about the cargo, upload photographs or video, select a preferred vehicle and indicate a budget.

Customers can begin directly through the CargoMov Post a Cargo Job page.

The live CargoMov booking process allows customers to provide pickup and drop-off locations, cargo type, weight, item information, helper requirements, vehicle preference, budget and cargo media before completing account setup.

After a job is prepared, eligible drivers can submit offers.

The customer can then consider factors such as price, vehicle suitability, pickup time and available driver information before accepting an offer.

This is an important shift.

Traditionally, someone looking for a truck may ask:

“Do you know a driver?”

A digital marketplace changes the question to:

“Which available driver and vehicle best match this particular job?”

That is a much more scalable approach.

Customers Can Start by Posting What They Need to Move

CargoMov has also reduced one of the common barriers found on digital platforms: forcing users through a lengthy registration process before they can even explain what they want.

Customers can start by describing the cargo requirement and then proceed with account creation.

If you already know what you need transported, you can post your CargoMov job here.

Customers who already have an account can use the CargoMov login and account portal.

CargoMov’s account system currently provides separate access paths for customers, drivers, suppliers and business accounts.

CargoMov Is More Than a Small-Parcel Delivery App

It is important to distinguish CargoMov from platforms designed primarily around motorcycles and small parcel deliveries.

CargoMov focuses on cargo.

That creates a much wider potential use case.

A CargoMov customer may need to move:

  • Household furniture
  • Appliances
  • Shop stock
  • Office equipment
  • Market goods
  • Warehouse inventory
  • Construction materials
  • Machinery
  • Building supplies
  • Commercial goods
  • Larger bulk cargo

Depending on the job, the required vehicle could range from a van or pickup to a box truck, tipper truck, refrigerated truck, tanker or larger haulage vehicle.
